Yara (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use our travel planning app (“the App”).

2. Data Storage and Ownership

All personal and travel data you enter in Yara is stored securely in your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit technology.

  • We do not collect, access, or store your travel plans, locations, itineraries, or any personal data on our servers.

  • Your data remains private and accessible only to you, stored on your own iCloud account.

3. Information We May Access

Yara does not require you to create an external account or share personal details directly with us. However, the following information may be processed automatically by Apple or third-party services:

  • Device Information: Basic diagnostic and crash data may be collected anonymously by Apple to improve performance and reliability.

  • iCloud Sync: Apple manages the synchronization of your data across your devices through iCloud.

We do not have access to this data, nor can we view or retrieve it.

4. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used locally on your device and within your own iCloud account to:

  • Store and sync your itineraries across devices.

  • Display your trips, maps, and travel statistics.

  • Generate and share PDF itineraries with friends and family (optional).

No data is transmitted to external servers or shared with us.

5. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or transmit any personal data to third parties.

  • Apple’s CloudKit service may process and store data securely on your behalf, under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

  • Sharing a PDF itinerary is an optional user action and entirely under your control.

6. Data Security

All data is encrypted and protected by Apple’s iCloud security infrastructure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device to prevent unauthorized access to your travel information.

7. User-Entered Data and Accuracy Disclaimer

All dates, times, flight numbers, train schedules, ferry schedules, and other travel details displayed in Yara are entered manually by the user and are not linked to, verified by, or synced with airlines, railways, ferry operators, or any other third-party travel providers.

  • Yara does not retrieve or update this information automatically.

  • It is the sole responsibility of the user to verify and keep this information up to date directly with the relevant travel provider.

  • We are not responsible for any consequences arising from outdated, incorrect, or unconfirmed information entered into the App, including but not limited to missed flights, trains, ferries, or other travel disruptions.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Yara may use artificial intelligence to assist with itinerary suggestions, recommendations, summaries, or other generated content.

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.

  • Users should independently verify any AI-generated recommendation or information before relying on it for travel decisions.

  • We are not responsible for any loss, inconvenience, or damage resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

9. Currency Converter Disclaimer

Yara may include a currency conversion feature for informational purposes only.

  • Exchange rates displayed in the App are indicative and may not reflect real-time or official market rates.

  • Rates may be delayed, approximate, or inaccurate.

  • Users should not rely on the currency converter for financial transactions and should consult their bank, card issuer, or an official currency exchange source for accurate rates.

10. Weather Information Disclaimer

Yara may display weather forecasts or conditions for trip destinations.

  • Weather data is provided by third-party sources and may be inaccurate, outdated, or subject to change.

  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on weather information displayed in the App.

  • Users should consult official meteorological sources before making travel decisions based on weather conditions.

11. General Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yara and its creators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Manually entered data that is outdated, incorrect, or unconfirmed with travel providers.

  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

  • Errors or inaccuracies in currency conversion figures.

  • Errors or inaccuracies in weather information.

  • Any decisions made or actions taken based on information displayed in the App.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy or reliability of any data, AI output, currency conversion, or weather information displayed.

12. Your Privacy Choices

Because all data is stored in your iCloud account, you can:

  • Delete your travel data directly from the App or from iCloud Settings.

  • Revoke iCloud permissions for Yara at any time.

We cannot access, modify, or delete any data on your behalf.
